Electrical Project Manager Base – salary 45 – 65k
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to permanently join their established team and help service their expanding business base
Purpose & Scope of the role:
As a senior member of the project management team, reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of assigned commercial & industrial projects from commencement through to completion.
Within your duties as the project manager, you will ensure that projects are delivered in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and ensures that our installations adhere to all legislative and company health & safety requirements.
Based at our corporate offices in Peterborough you will be responsible for managing workflows and a multi-disciplinary delivery team, comprised of engineering services scaled to deliver multiple projects at the same time.
Key Tasks
Key objectives being to effectively and professionally assist the design and construction management of projects, including but not limited to procurement, design, planning, risk assessment, commissioning and handover, whilst maintaining a high level of stakeholder management. Delivering multiple projects within budget, to specification and to the timeline agreed to the satisfaction of the client.
Prepare project plans as required to include costing and preparation of quotations for presentation to customers.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with statutory regulations, current industry standards and company quality and health and safety assurance procedures.
Ensure good communications within the project team, managing resource requirements for the successful delivery of the portfolio of works.
Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff including conducting appraisals and assisting with development as and when required.
Resolve site problems when they occur, implementing innovative techniques then providing feedback to the project management team.
Ensure good record keeping by working closely with the relevant managers to ensure accurate reporting, conducting post project reviews to identify financial and implementation improvements.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with new and existing clients and industry partners
Carry out responsibilities as the NICEIC Principal Duty Holder and Qualitive Supervisor (QS) including assessments, training and adherence to the latest relevant regulations and directives.
Key Responsibilities
Resource planning
Cost estimating and material resourcing for competitive pricing of both stock and site project material
Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times
Analysing and managing potential project risks and reporting to the General Manager
Seek opportunities for the company Group.
Ensure good communication at all times, throughout the business
Take ownership of assigned tasks through to completion & provide reports where required on a regular basis
In conjunction with the General Manager, be responsible for Project team management, including the co-ordination of engineering resources and project prioritisation.
Lead team meetings in the absence of the General Manager.
Actively encourage and identify opportunities to improve the Project Management and Engineering teams through new processes, training and recruitment where required.
Maintain NICEIC accreditation through accurate record keeping, assessments and training.
Full accountability of active projects in relation to engineering resource, procurement and P&L reporting
Transparency at all levels including quoting, project plans, project status, potential risk and gross profit

Ancillary duties
In addition to the above, the Senior Project Manager shall carry out other duties as may from time to time be required by the management
Limits of Authority
Quarantining of work not to required standards and report as necessary
Quarantining of work that may be dangerous or damaged if processed and report as necessary.
Conduct Disciplinary procedures up to a 1st written warning
Training and Development:
To participate in the continuous development of skills via internal or external training programs.
Administration:
Correct use of company data recording systems
Correct use of process recording systems for company data
